Scholes Library's Visual Resources Collection incorporates both slides and digital images. Approximately 160,000 slides are available in the Visual Resources Collection area on the second floor of Scholes Library. About 40,000 of these document the history of ceramic art and technology. The collection is supplemented by digital images accessible through the MDID database, and by subscriptions to ARTstor and CAMIO. Together, these digital libraries provide access to more than 1 million images in the areas of art, architecture, design, the humanities, and social sciences. Please visit the Visual Resources Research Guide for more information on all aspects of digital images. For more information about the Visual Resources Collection housed in Scholes Library, contact John Hosford, Visual Resources Curator, at 607-871-2944 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
